Reuniwatt transmits daily weather forecasts so as to allow better integration of PV and CSP production in the national electricity network. These forecasts are made using data collected through <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/reuniwatt.com\/en\/resources\/\">ground sky cameras<\/a><\/strong>, satellite imagery and numerical weather prediction models.<\/li>\n<li>Similarly, we have been sending forecasts since the end of 2019 to ONEE (the National Office for Electricity and Potable Water). The objective here is to better manage the production of the Office&#8217;s renewable energy fleet through the implementation of decision support tools, including reliable solar and wind power production forecasts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Africa&#8217;s renewable energy capacity could reach 310 GW by 2030, which would place the continent at the forefront of the production of renewable energy in the world.
