Our presentation at AMS Annual Meeting 2025<\/h2>\n

We are excited to announce our participation in the AMS Annual Meeting 2025, where we will be presenting our research on \u00ab\u00a0Leveraging Wide-Field of View Imagers to Improve the Instantaneous Cloud Amount Estimates<\/a>\u00ab\u00a0. Join our presentation on tuesday, January 14, 2025 starting 2:15pm during Session 7.3.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Cloud cover day and night measurement uncertainties persist due to subjective observations. Various ground instruments like radiometers and ceilometers offer improved accuracy, while infrared all-sky cameras like the Sky InSight™ offer more granular cloud cover descriptions. We analyzed cloud cover time series from the NOAA Surfrad Radiation Budget Network (SURFRAD) Table Mountain site in Boulder, Colorado, USA, for 2023 in order to compare cloud cover data from these different methods and suggest ways to address any disparities.<\/span><\/span> We invite you to join our presentation as we share valuable insights into the cutting-edge technologies and techniques we employ to enhance cloud monitoring and forecasting.<\/p>\n
