[Webinar Series] Asset Optimisation for Offgrid Projects using advanced performance analytics

Data analysis helps off-grid developers and operators optimise the overall performance of their installations. High-altitude settings and their environmental conditions impose particular challenges: They need to make sure the installation is ready for the most extreme situations possible. Robust solutions delivering high quality data are required for monitoring and optimising the assets’ performance and will allow for better energy management and optimal usage of each element of the installation.

This webinar showcases best-value solutions for the implementation of energy efficiency measures at off-grid plants ranging in perspective from production to consumption.
Solar power is one of the most cost-efficient technologies for remote power supply. Reuniwatt’s SunSat™ delivers accurate and reliable solar production data for already monitored or unmonitored PV plants based on satellite data. Sarah Vadillo-Quesada, Business Developer at Reuniwatt, will introduce the audience to our precise estimation method without hardware installation, helping to achieve the optimal technical layout and enabling a quick detection of any instrumental failure or soiling. This solar production data will complement the advanced monitoring solution developed by Studer Innotec, which provides a simple overview while allowing to zoom into any technical detail. Pierre-Olivier Moix, CTO at Studer Innotec, will explain to the audience how their monitoring system collects, analyzes and interprets data, resulting in automatic advice regarding electrical improvements and consumption optimization. Moderator Joan Tarragó, Business Developer at Odyssey Energy Solutions, closes the loop from the overarching perspective of the

We are kindly inviting developers and operators of off-grid systems, who want to learn more about the value of data analysis for their projects, and discover affordable solutions for the implementation of advanced monitoring features.

After this webinar you’ll have an understanding of:

  • Why monitoring production and electrical data is important for off-grid systems, and where to start

  • SunSat™, hardware-free method for solar performance monitoring

  • Advanced electrical data analysis used for better energy management and automatic advice generation

  • Best practices: Use cases in challenging high-altitude settings

Joan Tarragó is an

Pierre-Olivier Moix holds a MSc in electrical engineering by the EPFL with 18+ years of professional experience in the renewable energy sector, since he started working during two years for the launch of the solar plan project, Solar Impulse. Pierre-Olivier joined then Studer as R&D Engineer developing power electronics. In 2012, he moved to the University of applied science of western Switzerland as researcher and professor for renewable energy and Smart Grid. He was also Innovation engineer at ESR, the local DSO in Sion. Since 2019, Pierre-Oliver is board member and CTO at Studer. In addition, he is the co-founder of Offgrid.ch, an installation company of high-altitude offgrid installations running since 2014.

Sarah Vadillo-Quesada graduated with a dual degree in energy engineering and business administration, before developing an extensive background in public affairs by integrating the French Ministry of Ecological Transition and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She entered the scientific diplomacy world in Boston, where she contributed to developing research partnerships between French and American Universities. She joined Reuniwatt’s Paris office in 2021 to develop collaborations with universities and projects in the PV sector.
