After 8 successful editions, the Solaire Expo Maroc event has become the leading trade fair for renewable energies and energy efficiency in Morocco, Africa and the Mediterranean region.

Frédéric de Laforcade, our Account Manager based in Toulouse, will be present from the 25th 27th February 2020 at the Casablanca International Fair, thanks to the support of the Occitanie Region.

Do not hesitate to book a meeting with him to discuss your projects requiring meteorological data along with solar and/or wind forecasts.

It will also be the perfect opportunity to present our successes in Morocco:

  • For the past year, Reuniwatt has been providing production forecasts to MASEN (the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy), after a call for tenders won at the end of 2018. Reuniwatt transmits daily weather forecasts so as to allow better integration of PV and CSP production in the national electricity network. These forecasts are made using data collected through ground sky cameras, satellite imagery and numerical weather prediction models.
  • Similarly, we have been sending forecasts since the end of 2019 to ONEE (the National Office for Electricity and Potable Water). The objective here is to better manage the production of the Office’s renewable energy fleet through the implementation of decision support tools, including reliable solar and wind power production forecasts.

According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Africa’s renewable energy capacity could reach 310 GW by 2030, which would place the continent at the forefront of the production of renewable energy in the world. Reuniwatt’s ambition is to support African countries in their energy transition by implementing innovative and intelligent solutions for the successful integration of renewable energies into the electricity networks.
